Biography
Larissa Beatty is an artist from Kamloops, British Columbia. She has lived in several cities across BC, from southern Trail to up north in Fort St. John. In 2023, she will be graduating from Thompson Rivers University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts where she previously received her Certificate of Studio Arts and Visual Arts Diploma. Her work centres around photography and the formal aspects of design with combinations of black-and-white images and full colour prints. She shoots in both film photography and digital, combining the two in the end by scanning negatives.
Larissa received the Fred Billows Memorial Award for her photography work in 2022. She has had works shown with the Art Gallery of Ontario and more recently at the Kamloops Arts Council and Sagebrush Theatre.
